The 2024 Chengdu International Horticultural Exposition (hereafter referred to as "the Expo") is scheduled to take place from April 26 to October 28 in 2024 with the theme of "Garden City and Eco-friendly Human Habitat".
The International Horticultural Exposition's organizing committee has now made available on its official website (http://www.cdhortiexpo2024.com/) an invitation for submissions from all over the world on the emblems, slogans, mascots, theme songs, and flower of the event. From these submissions, a number of designs that emphasize both local Chengdu styles and global recognition will be chosen and designated to be used during the event.
Details of the submission soliciting:
I. The submissions include art works of slogans, emblem, mascots, theme songs, and flower of the event.
II. The invitation is open to any teams and individuals from across the world (works by cooperative individuals are classified as team works)
III. Requirements:
1. All submissions must be focused on the theme of "Garden City and Eco-friendly Human Habitat," use contemporary horticulture, and be artistic, appealing, and image-enhancing;
2. All submissions must represent high artistic levels, global perspectives and distinctive Chinese cultural elements while integrating local styles of Chengdu; they must be idiosyncratically creative, empathetic, attractive, distinctive and propagation-prone;
3. All submissions, including slogans, emblems, mascots and songs, must have impressive artistic expressions and highlight the themes on environmental and ecological friendliness. They must appeal to peoples of all ages, genders and different cultural backgrounds;
4. All candidates must abide by all the relevant laws, legal regulations and policies in but not necessarily limited to China, including but not limited to those of China and those established by the Expo organizing committee;
5. All the expenses incurred to the submission must be undertaken by the candidates; the organizing committee shall not bear any cost involved in the process;
6. All the submissions must be original works by the candidates rather than published works in any forms; they must be easy to reproduce and transmit for market development and promotion;
7. Consent must be reached and confirmed by all the candidates that the organizing committee of the Expo is entitled to use, free of charge, any submissions in the forms of slogans, emblems, mascots, songs, and flowers, to organize and evaluate. The selected submissions are liable for possible revisions proposed by the organizing committee of the Expo.
VII. The winners of each category, including slogans, emblems, mascots, and songs, will get 1 Top Award, 5 Excellence Awards, etc., as well as prize money. The Top Award winner(s) will have the opportunity to attend the Expo's opening ceremony.

1. All the amounts of prize-money is the pre-tax amount(s) paid in RMB yuan;
2. The organizing committee has no legal obligations involving the distribution of prize-money after it is paid to the team winners;
3. Vacancy(ies) may be left in case no qualified submissions
