As autumn deepens and osmanthus fragrance fills the air, sitting down with a cup of tea would be an ideal way to enjoy the season. There are countless teahouses in Chengdu, each with its distinctive character. Let’s head out for some tea!

Fuxing Old Teahouse

Located in Huanglongxi Ancient Town, the teahouse was established in an old building dating back to the late Qing Dynasty. Bamboo chairs, square wooden tables, traditional water-boiling “tiger stoves”, old-fashioned teapots, and worn cattail-leaf fans fill every corner with a sense of history. It is a genuine old-style teahouse.

Fuxing Street, where the tea house is located, has a history of more than a century, and Fuxing Old Teahouse has long been one of the street’s signature landmarks, attracting numerous tea enthusiasts for a sip of tea.

Professional Peking Opera performers offer free performances of classic opera excerpts from time to time, bringing a rich and varied theatrical experience to teahouse patrons.
