On August 16, Flight EU2409 from Chengdu to Luoyang, Henan province, was turned into a temporary "sky museum" to introduce the Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Ornament, which was unearthed at the Jinsha Ruins in 2001.

The Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Ornament stood out from a wealth of cultural relics and was selected as the symbol of China Cultural Heritage in 2005. It has become a symbol of spiritual civilization in Chengdu, according to Zhang Yingyu, a guide from the Jinsha Site Museum.

The sky museum has introduced how the cultural relic was excavated, its craftsmanship and cultural connotation, and how it became a local spiritual symbol.

The Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Ornament is believed to be about 3,000 years old and is made from delicate gold foil. It depicts four birds and 12 sunrays radiating from its center. It has a diameter of 12.53 centimeters and is just 0.02 centimeters thick.

The Jinsha Site Museum has organized many activities to introduce its collections and their history on flights and metro lines. It plans to hold more cultural activities to showcase the charm of Chengdu.
