Chengdu-Based Companies Break Into Fortune Global 500

The 2022 Fortune Global 500 list is officially released on August 3. Three enterprises headquartered in Chengdu are on the list. They are New Hope Group Co., Ltd. ranked 356th, Shudao Investment Group Co., Ltd. (SDIG) ranked 413th, and Chengdu Xingcheng Investment Group Co., Ltd. (CXIG) ranked 466th with a revenue of 197 billion yuan.

 

SDIG was listed for the first time with annual revenue of more than CNY 220 billion, becoming the first state-owned enterprise in Sichuan Province to make a list.

 

CXIG is the first local enterprise in Chengdu to enter the Fortune Global 500 list. As an "international urban comprehensive development operator", the business of CXIG covers finance, construction, urban development, medical and health care, cultural, sports and tourism developments, and rural revitalization.

 

 

By the end of July, with the total assets exceeding one trillion yuan, CXIG was ranked first among China's fastest-growing enterprises and became the first state-owned enterprise in central and western China into the World Economic Forum. 

 

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

 

In the past decade, CXIG has not only established 12 apartments for talent, with a total area of 2.62 million square meters but has helped to construct affordable houses at a lower rent and government-subsidized rental houses of nearly 600,000 square meters. It has undertaken the renewal projects of Shaocheng Area, Huaxiba Area. The organization of Chengdu Rongcheng Football Club has contributed to aiding the Chengdu football team back to the Chinese Super League. The expansion of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and the development of the Jinsha Site Museum have boosted the influence of Chengdu in building a world-famous cultural city.
