From June to August, Chengdu experiences its summertime. Early summer is the greatest time to come because the days are pleasant and agreeable for most people. July and August are Chengdu's warmest months, but the city is still worthy of visiting as there are some kinds of flowers blooming in the season. Many flowers in Chengdu have lately bloomed fully as the temperature gradually rises, waiting for the crowds to enjoy the seasonal landscape.

Inside the Bonsai Garden of the Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum, a Chinese Trumpet Creeper is climbing on the artificial hills and growing on rocks, with thousands of leaves and branches covering the whole hills. The splendid color of the plant's flowers in front of the ancient architectures in the summer brings a picturesque scenery for visitors.

As one of the best places to enjoy lotus flowers in downtown Chengdu, the Chengdu Culture Park boasts various lotus flowers. Red, pink, white...the lotus flowers are so attracting. Especially after a rainy day, you will find that the lotus leaves are greener and flowers are more brightly colored.
