This new form is an excellent example that Chinese museums and galleries have accelerated their digital transformation and have rolled out online exhibitions through digital technologies while exploring innovative ways to display their exhibits, regaling visitors with a cultural feast both online and offline.

Bian Que

According to semi-legends, Bian Que was the earliest known Chinese physician during the Warring States period. His real name is Qin Yueren.

In his early years, Bian Que studied medicine from a famous doctor at that time, and after completing his studies, he traveled around the world to treat ordinary people. In addition to practicing medicine in Hebei, he also went to Shanxi, Shaanxi, and other places. He was very enthusiastic and skilled. Thus, people started to call him Bian Que, an honorific title, same as the name of a legendary doctor.

Bian Que is considered to be the inventor of anaesthesia.
