During the 2026 National Day holiday, the ancient towns of Jiezi and Yuantuo in Chongzhou were teeming with visitors, whilst Daoming Bamboo Art Village and the Lumu River Wetland Park were also bustling with people… During the holiday period, the city welcomed a total of 1.945 million visitor arrivals, generating total tourism revenue in excess of 1.43 billion yuan. Behind these impressive figures lies the dedicated work of Chongzhou's various departments, which, in line with the objectives of "three assurances, three comforts and three joys", implemented practical measures and sought tangible results in improving the tourism environment and regulating the market. By providing end-to-end safeguards to ensure the stable and orderly operation of the cultural and tourism market, and through their meticulous and responsible approach, they delivered a warm and solid performance during the holiday period.

Chongzhou hosts a wide range of cultural and tourism events
Ahead of the National Day holiday, Chongzhou adhered to the principles of early planning, early inspection and early rectification, focusing on key areas and critical stages to carry out comprehensive risk and hazard remediation. City-wide, comprehensive safety inspections were carried out at 102 locations identified as having the "three most" issues. Food safety supervision was strengthened throughout the entire process for 73 "open-air banquets", with on-site guidance provided at 24 of these events; all identified issues were rectified. The special campaign targeted four key areas—including the illegal addition of additives to aquatic products and counterfeit and substandard food in rural areas—to safeguard food safety at source.
During the 2026 National Day holiday, Chongzhou innovatively introduced a "red and black list" system for businesses, rolling it out initially in 12 key commercial districts and tourist attractions across the city. A total of 16 businesses were placed on the red list and 10 on the black list, with the aim of guiding businesses towards honest business practices through positive incentives and negative consequences.
