On September 19, 2025 Galaxy Science Fiction Convention kicked off at Chengdu Sci-Tech Innovation Eco-Island. The Galaxy Science Fiction Convention, formerly known as China (Chengdu) International Science Fiction Convention, was first held in 1991 and has become China’s longest-running and most internationally recognized science fiction event brand. The convention’s three permanent guests of honor—Alai, Liu Cixin, and Robert J. Sawyer—extend their invitation to science fiction lovers around the world to gather in Chengdu and explore the boundless possibilities of science fiction and the future.
