Tea in the Visual Photography: PhoTEAgraphy Contest Announced

It's one of the world's best-loved drinks, a staple of millions of kitchens around the globe, and billions of cups of it are enjoyed every day. Tea is so much a part of everyday life that we might have many stories about it. 

 

For this contest, we invite everyone to share your best images showing tea. Spanning across all corners of the globe, crossing both cultures and borders, we are looking for all forms of photographic practice that tell the story of tea! From incognito and lifestyle shots taken at home to high-end studio photography; show how you capture your favourite teas in a creative and original way.

 

Open to professional and non-professional photographers of all ages from around the world, the competition begins today.

Theme

The theme is tea. Photography works featuring tea-related objects are welcomed, including but not limited to tea leaves, tea set or tea drinking.

First place (ranking 1-2)

1. A Panda Card worth ¥3000 that grants free access to over 20 Sichuan scene spots within one year, including the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Mount Qingcheng, Xiling Snow Mountain ski resort.

 

2. A ¥3000 Photography Dream Fund.

 

3. A Chengdu Cultural Creative Products Gift Package worth ¥1600 including a porcelain-bodied bamboo tea set, a Shu embroidery panda decoration, a Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Ornament bookmark, a Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum Chushibiao notebook, a panda insulated water bottle and umbrella set, and a panda garage kit mystery box.
