During the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse in Chengdu, equestrian sports—once considered a niche activity—have become a popular new choice for families and young people to unwind and celebrate the Year of the Horse.

 

 

According to data from Chengdu Municipal Sports Bureau, the number of equestrian enthusiasts in Chengdu has surpassed 100,000, with youth riders accounting for 70%.

 

Here is a list of major equestrian clubs and venues in Chengdu for those who want to introduce the sport to their children or hope to learn it through structured training.

 

Aslan Equestrian Club

 

 

Opened in January 2026, this 5,480-square-meter facility offers professional training and trail riding experiences.

Dargans Equestrian Club (Greenway Store)

 

 

Covering approximately 24,000 square meters, the club stands as a youth equestrian training and Galop certification center. It features three training arenas, 75 stables, and other professional facilities.

Dong'an Lake

 

 

The club follows the French Galop certification system and is instructed by a team of both Chinese and international coaches.

A 45‑minute introductory lesson for youth riders typically ranges from RMB 350 to RMB 400. For those progressing to structured training, individual sessions may cost between RMB 600 and RMB 1,000. Cheap introductory products, such as packages that cost tens of yuan, are popular among newcomers. Prices are for reference only.
