The 2025 Chengdu Open Rowing Regatta recently concluded in Xinjin District. This international event attracted 20 international and Chinese rowing teams, including teams from the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford of the United Kingdom, Brown University of the United States, the University of Sydney and the University of Melbourne of Australia, and the University of Otago of New Zealand. As a major growth driver, the event has stimulated consumption in Xinjin. During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the event attracted a total of 1.5069 million visits, an increase of 20.65% compared to the same period of the previous year; the total tourist expenditure reached RMB 915 million, surging 54.26% year-on-year. The per capita tourist spending reached RMB 607.21, growing by 27.86% year-on-year.
