Exhibitions in Chengdu During May Day Holiday
After laboring for a whole long fortnight with just one day off, the 5-day-holiday (May Day) is just around the corner! Time is ticking away and carefree holidays are on their way!
Got a mental to-do-list? Maybe not. Reports circulate that the trains, flights and hotels are either fully booked or over-booked, with the booking number hitting a record high again. It is understood that the passenger population could reach 250 million at peak times this year, even outstripping the figure for the same period in 2019.
Are you unnerved by the stunning figure and the daunting prospect of getting stuck in overwhelming crowds and seeing nothing but a sea of people after a long and strenuous journey, or simply sitting bumper to bumper in traffic jams for hours? Spare yourself the trouble! Sleeping in, and hanging out with your friends on short excursions to the exhibitions might be a good choice.
We've selected five exhibitions in Chengdu during the May Day holiday. Check them out and take your time to chill out.
1 Five Most Developed Cities in Qin and Han Dynasties of Ancient China

The exhibition of "Five Most Developed Cities in Qin and Han Dynasties of Ancient China" is on display in the Chengdu Museum until May 19. It presents more than 300 pieces (sets) of cultural relics unearthed from Luoyang, Linzi, Wan, Handan and Chengdu. For history lovers, it will be a pity if you do not pay a visit.

2 Designed master chairs of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games
Master chairs designed by 21 masters, including famous Chinese pianist Lang Lang, an advocate of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, and famous Italian artist Silvio Cattani, have been put on display on the 7th floor of Chengdu IFS since 27 April. This exhibition lasts for one month and is open to the public for free.
After the exhibition, the chairs will be placed on major greenways and at sports venues in Chengdu, so as to contribute to the public good with the power of art.

3 Flower show in the Linxi Park in Eastern New Area

During the May Day holiday, a flower show with a total area of about 15,000 sq.m will be displayed in the Linxi Park in Eastern New Area of Chengdu and will be open to citizens for free. The flowers and other plants will present a pleasant scene for visitors.

4 National Geographic photography exhibition
The ongoing exhibition showcasing 130 classic works from National Geographic is on display at Chengdu Yintai Center In99. Why not go and see the beauty through the photographer's lens?

5 The Exhibition of the Three Kingdoms Legend

The Exhibition of the Three Kingdoms Legend, the largest tour exhibition with the theme of "the Three Kingdoms in the 21st Century" is open to the public from 31 March to 31 August, 2021 at the Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum.
