The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) held its Sixth International Festival on 9 June at Liulin Campus. 

 

The Sixth International Festival themed "SWUFE Vitality, World Diversity" was grandly held at SWUFE's Liulin Campus to welcome the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, decorate the campus with international elements, and deepen the friendship between Chinese and international students. 

 

 

LI Yongqiang, vice president of SWUFE, and HU Xiao, deputy director of the Exit & Entry Administration Division of Chengdu PSB attended the opening ceremony. The leaders of various SWUFE schools and departments including the College of International Education, Youth League Committee, School of Sports, Research Institute of Economics and Management attended the opening ceremony as well.

 

 

The opening ceremony started in the short video of "Moments of Sports – SWUFE International Students During the Past Years".

 

 

 

Further on the tradition of exciting stage performances and yummy global cuisines, the 6th International Festival has introduced many sports competitions and fun games which greatly enriched its interactivity and attractiveness. With the ongoing basketball, badminton, and rock climbing competitions and various games, the Chinese and international students shared laughter and cheer all day long.

 

 

The International Festival, as a landmark event of SWUFE's internationalization work, has gathered Chinese and international students and promoted cultural exchanges since 2015. It has received positive responses and extensive participation from various departments and schools of the university. This year, the successful holding of the Sixth International Festival of SWUFE is a concentrated display of colorful multi-culture and a significant exploration of advancing international development.
