Chengdu's Comprehensive Financial Competitiveness Ranks 37th in the World

On March 24, the "31st Global Financial Center Index Report (GFCI 31)" jointly compiled by China Development Institute and Z/Yen Group was released. According to the report, Chengdu's comprehensive financial competitiveness ranked 37th in the world. It is worth mentioning that in the subdivision field, Chengdu's special ranking of financial technology has increased by 16 spots compared with the previous period.

Notably, the report also mentions that Chengdu ranked 32nd in the ranking of "which city they most want to work in". For the reasons for choosing Chengdu, the respondents gave a variety of reasons for choosing, mainly including the depth and breadth of the development of the financial industry in the city. Respondents believe that cities with large mature markets are more likely to offer potential opportunities. At the same time, the reputation of financial centers as fintech and innovation hubs is very important for many respondents looking for entrepreneurial opportunities. There are also lifestyle factors, including culture, safety, attractiveness, etc.
