As of January 9, 2025, the number of inbound international travelers arriving at Chengdu’s airports surpassed 15,000, indicating a 15% increase compared to the previous year. The comprehensive optimization of the transit visa-free policy has positioned Chengdu as a favorable destination for a growing demographic of young tourists from Southeast Asia. Data indicate that from January to November 2024, Chengdu welcomed a total of 1.472 million inbound visitors, demonstrating a remarkable year-on-year growth of 163.8%.
