As the opening of The World Games 2025 Chengdu approaches, the short film A Panda’s Time Adventure officially premiered on August 2. The creative video blends live action with animation to take viewers on a whimsical journey through time and space—led by an adventurous giant panda named “Chizhuxia.”

English version

In the film, Chizhuxia travels freely across thousands of years of history: wandering the Southern Silk Road and admiring the beauty of Shu Brocade; mischievously stamping paper currency in an ancient bank where China’s earliest banknotes, Jiaozi, were used; flipping through The Travels of Marco Polo under the glowing corridors of Chengdu at night. He even finds himself in a classroom in Chengdu’s first friendship city—Montpellier, France—before leaping onto the rooftop of the China-Europe freight train.

Japanese version

Through the panda’s eyes, viewers are treated to a vibrant, joyful tour of Chengdu’s rich cultural heritage and its ever-growing international friendships. The short film offers a lighthearted yet meaningful celebration of Chengdu as both a city of deep historical roots and a globally connected hub.
