As announced by Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province on 25 May, the Consulate General of Nepal in Chengdu was officially opened on 24 May. The consular area covers Sichuan Province, Guizhou Province and Chongqing Municipality. It is the third Consulate General of Nepal in mainland China, following the establishment of the Consulate General of Nepal in Lhasa and Guangzhou.
