Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday for the 19th G20 Summit and a state visit to Brazil. With the national flags of both countries waving proudly, President Xi received a warm and heartfelt welcome. China and Brazil, two major developing countries from opposite sides of the globe, share a unique bond that transcends oceans. This year marks 50 years of diplomatic ties, a milestone celebrated by many Brazilians visiting Chengdu, where they discovered inspiration and new opportunities. Brazilian Ambassador to China, Marcos Galvão, expressed hope that Chengdu will play a key role in shaping the next “golden 50 years” of bilateral relations.
