The Turkish Consulate General in Chengdu was officially opened on 13 June. The consular area covers Sichuan Province, Guizhou Province and Chongqing Municipality. This is Turkey's third consulate in Chinese mainland.

 

Up to now, 21 foreign consulates have been approved to be established in Chengdu, making Chengdu rank third in Chinese mainland and first in the central and western China.
