Starbucks China Launches Plant-Based Menu

Global coffee giant Starbucks announced that it will roll out a brand new plant-based lunch menu named GOOD GOOD across its China locations including Chengdu starting from April 22. The new menu will feature vegan meat and dairy substitutes from leading vegan foodtech players including Beyond Meat, Oatly and OmniPork.
 
 
"Through the 'Starbucks GOOD GOOD' movement, we seek to inspire new routines by inviting everyone to eat good, feel good and do good. Together, we can take a small, humble step to make a better world," said Leo Tsoi, senior vice president, chief operating officer and president, Starbucks China Retail.
 
 
Three dishes feature plant-based Beyond Beef™ which replicates the taste and texture of minced beef are officially available at Starbucks cafes in Chengdu and other Chinese mainland cities. Meanwhile, customers in city may now customize their favorite Starbucks® beverages with oatmilk with no additional charge. The smooth and mellow texture of oatmilk pairs perfectly with the Starbucks signature espresso, accentuating its full-bodied taste and velvety microfoam.
 
 
Additionally, Starbucks is offering two more tasty dishes featuring OmniPork, a plant-based protein that pairs well with Asian dishes.
 
 
Starbucks has also launched a line of stylish and creative merchandise that can be woven into customers' everyday lifestyles. This includes tumblers and notebooks that are partially made with recycled coffee grounds collected from Starbucks stores.
