From July 16 to 29, the APEC Digital Weeks 2026 is being held in Chengdu, the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, where delegates from APEC economies explore the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology.

 

Chengdu isn't just a host. The city is a real-world AI lab. Backed by robust computing power, robots here handle deliveries, guide tourists, assist in surgeries… AI is woven into everyday life.

 

As APEC champions inclusive AI development, Chengdu is showing the world what it really means to empower communities and industries with technology.
