On December 2, the 9th Chengdu International Poetry Week kicked off in Chengdu, bringing together international attendees from Russia, India, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the United States, and the United Kingdom, along with renowned poets from Sichuan and the rest of China. Themed “Nationality and Universality of Poems and Common Home for Humanity”, the poetry week will last for four days. A number of activities will be held, including creative inspiration trips, poetry sessions in schools and government institutions, poetry dialogue, and the Poetry Night Gala.
