Lacquerware is characterized by its durability and luxury. It integrates practicality and art, and is closely linked to people's daily life, rituals, beliefs, music and military affairs. In the past 8,000 years, they were either primitive and simple, or gorgeous and luxurious, all of which were shining with the magnificence of civilization.
The exhibition selects about 60 pieces (sets) of lacquer art works by intangible cultural heritage inheritors and universities in Chengdu and Chongqing, to showcase the brilliance of traditional skills inherited by artists in these two cities.
