In order to keep baby pandas from becoming dependent on humans, they are brought into contact with human staffs wearing panda suits that have been smeared with a species-specific "perfume" — panda pee and feces.

 

 

By doing this, when pandas are released back into nature in the future, they will avoid humans rather than get close to them.
