Recently, major cultural venues, museums, and art spaces in Chengdu have introduced a wide range of themed exhibitions. With comfortable indoor environments and diverse exhibits, exhibition venues have become exclusive summer retreats for Chengdu residents to “escape” from the heat.

 

 

Memories in Gaiwan—The Global Resonance of Chengdu Traditional Tea Houses

 

 

 

Divided into five chapters, the exhibition showcases a total of 210 valuable archived documents. It engagingly traces the intertwined stories of Chengdu’s traditional tea houses with the city, residents, and the world while comprehensively showing the evolution of traditional tea houses from classic urban establishments to an international cultural symbol.

Des mondes en extension—exposition photographique de Léa Habourdin

 

 

 

Jointly presented by two major cultural exchange brands—the 2026 Chengdu Europe Culture Season and the 2026 Croisements Festival—the exhibition is the first solo exhibition in southwestern China by contemporary French artist Léa Habourdin. Exhibits span diverse artistic forms, including photographs and textile installations.

The Glory within Authenticity—The Architectural Art and Inheritance of Yongle Palace

 

 

 

Bringing together 125 pieces or sets of artifacts, the exhibition presents the most diverse selection of artifacts among all touring exhibitions of Yongle Palace.

Echoes to the Cretaceous: The Last Dinosaur Fragment

 

 

 

The exhibition primarily features Cretaceous dinosaur fossils discovered in Henan. It covers a different period from the museum’s existing permanent dinosaur exhibition. No fewer than 55 pieces or sets of dinosaur fossils, models, and relevant exhibits across various categories are planned to be presented.

Narrative Art Exhibition

 

 

 

With a focus on “narrative”, the exhibition brings together 23 youth creators from diverse fields. Breaking away from the traditional art exhibition model of “displaying only finished works”, it incorporates the entire creative process and public co-creation into the exhibition experience. Deeply rooted in Chengdu’s local culture, the exhibits explore the topics of urban life and public concerns.

Dual Solo Exhibitions of ROK Artist Byoungho Kim and Chinese Artist Deng Xiao

 

 

 

Eight sets of key works by Kim Byoungho and ten sets of representative creations by Deng Xiao are set to guide the viewers into a world where light, texture, sound, and smell intertwine.
