As autumn reaches its peak, the hillsides are painted with brilliant shades of red. Hiking through the forest, one will be greeted with layers of multicolored foliage. The magnificent autumn scenery slowly unfolds.
Pengzhou Longmen Mountain

From late October, a magnificent “symphony of colors” takes the stage at Longmen Mountain, Pengzhou. Rising from 1,200 to 4,500 meters above sea level, the mountain features a vertical drop of nearly 3,300 meters, allowing the multicolored foliage to remain in brilliant display from the end of October to late November.
Qionglai Tiantai Mountain

The end of October to mid-November is the best time to admire autumn leaves at Qionglai Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area.

The mountain is now ablaze with layers of autumn hues, with red leaves dancing in the breeze. Red maples and wild lacquer trees present a mix of scarlet and gold. Colorful reflections shimmer on the streams, while leaves sway in the wind. The autumn landscape is richly layered.
Jintang Gongjia Mountain

As the temperature difference between day and night continues to widen in late autumn, maple leaves at Jintang Gongjia Mountain reach their color-changing peak. Different from expanses of crimson commonly seen, the foliage here blends shades of red, yellow, and green, like an autumn “palette” spilled across the mountain.
Dayi Xiling Snow Mountain

Late October to November each year is the best time to admire red autumn leaves at Xiling Snow Mountain. Along the mountain trails, mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests at the mountainside gradually take on a layered blend of golden yellow, orange red, ochre brown, and dark green. Colors unfold uninterrupted across the slopes.

The Xiling Snow Mountain Back Mountain Skiing Field Scenic Area is offering free scenic area admission to all visitors through November 30. The offer excludes additional expenses, such as cable cars and sightseeing buses.
Tips:
Please stay on designated trails and help protect the mountains’ plants. Do not break branches, pick plants, or trample vegetation. Help preserve the natural beauty of the autumn landscape.
