The Night Cruise on Jinjiang River’s new party-themed boat set sail from Dongmen Wharf on August 14. Moving beyond the traditional sightseeing cruise, the boat combines music performances, cultural stories, interactive games, and collectible cultural and creative cards to present a fresh and immersive night cruise experience in Chengdu.

The themed boat, as an “ancient-style light-variety party-themed sightseeing boat”, aims to offer a tourist experience centered around “poetry by the Jinjiang River and parties on the river”. Departing from Dongmen Wharf, the approximately 40-minute cruise passes various iconic landmarks in Jinjiang District, including Hejiang Pavilion, Anshun Covered Bridge, and Jiuyan Bridge.

Two distinctive characters, Wan Wan and A Zhou, are onboard together with passengers: One is deeply versed in Chengdu’s local culture and tells the history of the Jinjiang River and the old stories of the ancient bridge; the other, a traveler from afar, shares impressions along the way, bringing Chengdu’s river stories vividly to life.

Different from the traditional sightseeing experience where passengers simply sit and view, the sightseeing boat creates a relaxing and easygoing atmosphere for fun activities.

During the cruise, performers sing live, lead open sing-alongs, and host fun games. There is no pressure to participate. Couples, families with children, and groups of friends can all enjoy the journey at their own pace.

One of the highlights along the cruise is the “Jinjiang Landmark Card Collection”. Passengers can collect special landmark cards by joining onboard activities and sing-alongs. Those who collect all four limited-edition cards for Dongmen Wharf, Hejiang Pavilion, Anshun Covered Bridge, and Jiuyan Bridge can redeem exclusive cultural and creative gifts and take home a lasting memento of the night cruise.
