Recently, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) has introduced free lounge service for passengers on international transfers. The service aims to offer travelers a comfortable experience during their international connecting journeys.

 

 

 

Who is eligible for the free service?

 

 

Passengers who arrive at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport on their previous flight and depart from the airport on an international outbound flight within 48 hours are eligible to use the lounge service. This includes:

▷Passengers transferring from an international flight to another international flight

▷ Passengers transferring from a domestic flight to an international flight

 

 

How does the verification process work?

 

 

Passengers can complete the eligibility verification at the lounge service counter by presenting proof of both flight itineraries:

1. The boarding pass or flight itinerary for the previous flight arriving at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport

2. The boarding pass for the next international flight departing from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport

Location: next to Gate 115 in the restricted area of Terminal 1

Service Hours: Open 24 hours a day

 

 

Amenities

 

 

Rest Area: The area is equipped with comfortable lounge chairs and resting beds, as well as paid massage chairs.

 

Leisure Office Area: The area features comfortable sofas and desks with internet access.

 

 

Shower Area and Convenience Services: The lounge includes private shower rooms and public restrooms, along with self-service vending machines and water dispensers. They meet passengers’ basic needs during transfers.

 

 

 

Free Shower Essentials

 

 

Free disposable shower essentials are provided free of charge, including shower caps, toothbrushes and toothpaste, face towels, body wash, shampoo, and bath towels.

 

 

 

Important Transfer Tips

 

 

The Transfer Lounge has limited seating capacity. If the lounge is full, please rest and wait in the seating areas near the boarding gates.

 

The information on international flight boarding gates is generally updated three hours before departure. Passengers can check the information in real time via the 天府国际机场 (“Chengdu Tianfu International Airport”) WeChat Official Account or the airport’s flight information displays.

 

The airport uses zone-based flight announcements. Announcements are only broadcast at the corresponding boarding gates. Passengers are advised to arrive at their gates in advance.

 

Boarding gates close 15 minutes before departure. It is recommended to plan lounge time accordingly.
