As China’s civil aviation began operating its summer and autumn flight schedule for 2026 on March 29, Chengdu continues to upgrade its international flight network with a focus on increasing flights on popular air routes to Southeast Asia and improving intercontinental transfer connectivity.

On March 26, Air China has launched direct flights from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport to Brussels, operating three flights per week. In the new flight season, the airline will add additional flights to direct air routes from Chengdu to Seoul, Manila, Colombo, and other destinations.

Spring Airlines continues to expand its international network in Chengdu, now offering daily services on its direct air routes from Chengdu to Bangkok and Phnom Penh throughout the new season.

Sichuan Airlines now operates over 30 international and regional air routes from Chengdu in the new season.

Sichuan Airlines has significantly improved its transfer efficiency and service quality in Chengdu. Passengers departing from airports in Beijing (Beijing Capital International Airport), Shanghai (Shanghai Pudong International Airport), Hangzhou, Wuhan, and other cities can now connect via Chengdu within 120 minutes with Sichuan Airlines’ intercontinental flights from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport to Vancouver, Melbourne, Rome, Moscow, Madrid, and other cities.

Additionally, Sichuan Airlines has expanded its through-ticketing services for transfers from domestic to international flights by increasing the number of departure airports in China to 15, which covers airports in Beijing (Beijing Capital International Airport), Wenzhou, Changsha, and other cities. Passengers traveling from these airports to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport for connecting flights to one of the four international destinations—Cairo, Madrid, Rome, and Melbourne—can enjoy a seamless travel experience with a single ticket and through-checked luggage.
