Immersive Exploration through VR Experience

Chengdu Natural History Museum

China’s inaugural “Enjoy the Lunar Soil—Lunar Soil Immersive Popular Science Exhibition” has opened at Chengdu Natural History Museum.

In the immersive experience zone, the “Lunar Palace Project” VR program allows visitors to wear virtual spacesuits and stroll across the Moon’s Mare Tranquillitatis for an experience of the lunar surface landscape in the low-gravity environment, the “touch” of lunar soil particles formed over billions of years, and insights into their geological history.

At the lunar base, visitors can experience the fun of “interstellar farming”, learning about the science behind space cultivation while immersing themselves in the challenges and scientific significance of lunar exploration.

The Multiverse Project Immersive Exploration Center

The center is Asia’s first cultural tourism metaverse space capable of running multiple immersive exploration programs simultaneously.

More than just a VR amusement venue, the center serves as a “touchable and participatory” cultural classroom. Recently, it has launched a new exhibition, Tonight with the Impressionists, Paris 1874, where visitors can put on VR goggles and “travel” back to Paris in 1874 for close encounters with the artists of the time.

Additionally, the center features other long-running immersive exploration programs, including Horizon of Khufu, Eternal Notre-Dame, and Life Chronicles.
