Chengdu is recently adding more flights to and from Southeast Asia.

China Eastern Airlines will enhance its direct round-trip flight services between Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and Thailand’s Bangkok and Phuket next month. From February 3 to March 12, 2026, three direct round-trip flights will operate weekly between Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and Bangkok. From February 13 to March 11, 2026, direct round-trip flights between Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and Phuket will be introduced, operating four times weekly.

At the end of December 2025, Chengdu launched a direct air route to Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam, operating twice per week. Meanwhile, the direct air route to Vientiane, Laos was resumed, operating one flight per week. On January 7, 2026, Cambodia Airways launched a direct air route from Chengdu to Sihanoukville, offering three flights per week.

On January 9, 2026, Malaysia Airlines resumed its daily direct flights from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport to Kuala Lumpur. In early February, Chengdu will restart direct flights to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
