On December 10, Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Hyatt Centric The Ring Chengdu, marking the introduction of the Hyatt Centric brand to Southwest China. The hotel is located in the Panchenggang area, a district undergoing rapid transformation from its industrial past into a new urban community featuring retail, culture, and creative businesses.

 

 

The property offers 258 guestrooms and suites, all located above the 36th floor with panoramic views of the city. Designed by Cheng Chung Design (CCD), the interiors incorporate subtle industrial elements that reference the district’s past as a major steel factory site, blending them with contemporary materials and curated artworks to create a sense of connection to the area’s evolving identity.

 

 

Situated within the Jindong Business Circle, the hotel is directly connected to The Ring lifestyle mall and is a short walk from Dongda Road Metro Station, providing convenient access to key destinations across Chengdu. Dining options include Cafe 249, which serves Sichuan-inspired dishes and local breakfast selections, and Color Palette bar, a relaxed setting for tea or cocktails. The hotel also offers pet-friendly rooms and a range of leisure and fitness facilities.

 

 

According to General Manager Clavin Leow, the hotel aims to offer guests an experience connected to the everyday life of Chengdu’s evolving neighborhoods. With its location in one of the city’s emerging urban districts, the opening adds to the range of accommodation choices available to travelers visiting Chengdu for business or leisure.
