On September 26, Sichuan Airlines will launch a new direct flight route to Bali Island, which will operate on a daily basis. This route is currently Chengdu’s only direct route to Bali Island.
According to the planned schedule, the outbound flight 3U3985 departs from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport at 15:15 and arrives at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali Island at 22:05 local time, with a flight duration of 6 hours and 50 minutes. The return flight 3U3986 departs from Bali Island at 23:05 local time and arrives at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport at 5:50 the following day, Beijing time. Tickets for the flight are currently available for pre-sale.
Starting October 26, Sichuan Airlines plans to resume direct flights from Chengdu to Sapporo, Japan, the only direct route between the two cities. The route will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with the outbound flight taking approximately 5.5 hours and the return flight around 7 hours. With its resumption, Chengdu-Sapporo route will become the third direct route from Chengdu to Japan, joining the existing direct routes to Tokyo and Osaka.
Additionally, Malaysia Airlines will resume direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport starting January 9, 2026. The flights will operate on a daily basis. Currently, tickets for the flight are available for pre-sale.
