On March 4, 2025, the highest honor in the global architecture community, Pritzker Architecture Prize, was officially announced, with Chengdu architect Liu Jiakun becoming the 54th recipient of Pritzker Architecture Prize. As a Chengdu native, Liu’s works are closely connected to the city’s cultural genes, with his representative work, West Village, elevating the bustling urban life of Chengdu to a world-class architectural language with “civic tradition” as its backdrop.
