Chengdu is set to launch a new 13-hour nonstop flight to Spain’s capital Madrid (which is dubbed “Gateway to Europe”) as from April 27. This scheduled intercontinental passenger route undertaken by Sichuan Airlines will entrench Chengdu’s direct European flight network, and thus solidify its position as the most efficient air transit hub linking central and western China to Europe.
