Mount Qingcheng, situated to the northwest of Chengdu, is about 70 km away from the city center. The mountain scenic area comprises a series of peaks in a front range and a back range. Its verdant, thick forests act as a natural shield, keeping the mountain from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

 

The tranquility that lured ancient Taoists continues to attract visitors today, and the Taoist culture itself remains the best part of a sightseeing experience.
