On October 28, the 2025 Music China Expo was launched in Chengdu, during which the 2025 Report on the Music Industry Development Index of Chinese Cities was released. According to the report, Chengdu ranks first among 15 sub-provincial cities and cities specifically designated in the state plan in multiple assessment indicators, including the music industry clustering index, original music vitality index, music performance vitality index, music and cultural tourism integration index, and comprehensive music industry development index. During the expo, five music industry projects were signed, including the Chengdu Original New Folk Music Incubation Base Project, the “Digital Creativity Music” Wuhou Music Industry Base Cooperation Project, the Industry Development Alliance Ecosystem Strategic Cooperation Project, the Business Travel Music Experience Project, and the AI Artistic Creation Center Project. In the first nine months of this year, the total output value of Chengdu’s music industry reached RMB 47.9 billion.、
