On August 19, the first proton therapy system in western China was officially launched in Sichuan Cancer Hospital (Tianfu Campus). This marks the introduction of the cutting-edge technology in the field of cancer radiotherapy to western China. In the future, it will provide treatment options for cancer patients across 12 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government, and potentially extend to a broader area.
