Chengdu’s Airport Ports Handles Over 1.47 Million Entries and Exits in Q1

In the first quarter of 2025, Chengdu Immigration Inspection Station processed over 1.47 million entries and exits and more than 11,400 flights, representing year-on-year increases of 11.8% and 18% respectively. Both the number of travelers and flights at Chengdu’s airport ports have continued to grow steadily. Over 353,000 foreign nationals entered or exited through the ports—a 69.5% year-on-year increase. More than 117,000 of them entered China visa-free, accounting for 65.8% of all foreign arrivals. Additionally, over 13,800 travelers were granted 24/240-hour transit visa exemptions, while more than 89,000 travelers transited directly without immigration clearance. The number of outbound Chinesemainland residents reached over 500,000, remaining stable compared to the same period of last year.
