At the event, the opening performance — a Sichuan yangqin piece entitled The Shu Road — made a splendid appearance, with the intangible cultural heritage performances complementing the crimson autumn foliage of the mountains. Subsequently, the organisers promoted the Guangwushan Autumn Foliage Festival through an immersive experience, screening promotional films such as I Am a Breeze from Bazhong and Guangwu Mountain Presents the World with an Entire Autumn, showing footage of the departure of the China–Europe freight train's "Guangwushan Autumn Special", and broadcasting live from the artists' creative workshops. Through diverse forms such as painting, music and dance, they showcased the ecological beauty and cultural charm of the autumn foliage season.

The plaque-presentation ceremony was full of highlights. The Pacific Asia Travel Association awarded Guangwu Mountain the plaque for "Asia's Largest Red Leaves Viewing Area", whilst Chinese National Geography awarded it the plaque for "Sichuan·Bazhong Guangwu Mountain Film and Photography Base", adding two more "golden calling cards" for Guangwushan's cultural and tourism sector.

The event also saw the release of the National Red Leaf Viewing Index, alongside a lighting ceremony for autumn tourist destinations — representatives from the five major scenic areas of Kanas in Xinjiang, Benxi in Liaoning, Fragrant Hills in Beijing, Wushan Mountains in Chongqing and Guangwu Mountain in Sichuan jointly illuminated the Map of China's Autumn Colours.

As the event drew to a close, a drone laden with autumnal red leaves scattered them from the sky; the leaves drifted down towards the audience like autumnal letters, bringing the atmosphere to a climax, whilst guests and visitors alike raised their mobile phones to capture the romantic moment of "falling red leaves".
