Chengdu Museum Reopens to Limited Visits

Chengdu Museum reopened on March 17 with the limit on visitors.
Chengdu Museum has reopened since March 17 under strict epidemic prevention measures.
By now three museums in Chengdu — Wuhou Shrine Museum, Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum and Yongling Museum have reopened to the public after their temporary closure due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Chengdu Museum currently limits the visitor number to 2,000 a day.
1. Opening
10:00 to 16:00, Tuesday to Sunday; admission closed after 15:30.
2. Opening areas
Floor one to Floor five, where three special exhibitions and one exhibition of prints collected by Arthur M. Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology at Peking University are underway. The exhibition hall of Man and Nature on the underground first floor and the coffee area on the sixth floor will remain closed.
3. Avoid crowds
(1) Group visits are not allowed;
(2) Daily visitor capacity will be limited to 2,000. At the same time, 300 people are allowed to enter the museum within 1 hour to avoid crowds. Less than 1,000 visitors are granted admission for each day's morning (10:00 - 13:00) and afternoon (13:00 - 16:00).
4. How to enter the Museum?
(1) Ticketing: online booking and buying ticket on site. Online reservations are limited to 1,900 per day. Only medical workers, military personnel and audiences over 70 years old are allowed to take tickets on site. They can enter the museum with their valid personal certificates.
(2) Visitors must show their ID cards (or other valid identity certificates) and health QR codes, and have their temperature taken before entry. All daily visitors should have a normal body temperature and wear a mask.
5. Precautions
(1) Staff-guided tours will NOT be provided for the time being. The audience can use WeChat audio guide by themselves, or rent intelligent guide equipment from the information desk on the first floor of the exhibition hall.
(2) Visitors are suggested to keep at least 1.5 meters away from each other during visit.
(3) Inform the staff immediately if you feel unwell with symptoms like fever or coughing after entering the museum.
