House of Panda Post

There are several Panda Post branches around the city of Chengdu offering postal service featuring the giant panda.

Just a-minute-walk away from the Wide & Narrow Alleys, one of the hottest tourist attractions in downtown Chengdu, stands an old-style two-storey building with a ridge roof, opposite to the People’s Park on the other side of the Shudu Avenue. A closer look of the building and you'll see the outstanding panda logo under the roof which, along with the signs in the Chinese and English languages, tells that it is a post office.

What makes the post office different is the fact that it is the only postal service in the world with the giant panda as its theme, where you can buy everything featuring the giant panda — the symbol of the city, from stamps, postcards, albums, envelopes to toys and souvenirs.

The outlet next to the Wide & Narrow Alleys is the flagship post office of Panda Post, which has several branches around the city of Chengdu.

At all post offices under the same name you can have the postcards stamped with the panda logo in various forms and sent to your family, relatives and friends anywhere in the world by the theme post office, which also boasts its own post code (610088).
