Walking on Newly-opened Dachuan Alley

Authors: Go Chengdu

The refurnished Dachuan Alley has opened to the public and made it a new attraction on the Jinjiang River, where many small boutique art galleries can be found.
This time, we will take you to Dachuan Alley, a newly-opened artistic block featuring life-oriented aesthetics.
This is really I think the way that the city should be discovered in a nice casual stroll down a nice quiet street with full of local elements.
If you are looking for something interesting to do and you want to go for a stroll along Chengdu's Jinjiang River, you should check out the area around Lan Kwai Fong and also pop into one of the many small boutique art galleries in the Dachuan Alley.
Dachuan Alley is located in city's downtown, with one end facing the Ancient East Gate of Chengdu's City Wall and the other connecting to Jinjiang River. It is not big and stretches about 150 meters in total.
The Alley was nicknamed as the "Street of Delivery Businesses" before it completed an overall renovation in June of 2019, and now it is a location of cultural atmosphere with a cluster of art galleries.
Also the alley is one important stop along the night cruising route on Jinjiang River, a night sightseeing travel project which was launched in April, 2019, providing the passengers aboard a glimpse of the iconic sights of the city, including the 339 TV Tower, Lan Kwai Fong and Hejiang Pavilion.
There are some nice little quiet patio bars and cafes along the alley, which have the original artwork of local artists hanging in their space. You may just find a nice little gem of a piece that suits your fancy. Apparently, the prices are rather affordable.
It is recommended that you could take a casual walk to nearby neighborhoods such as the well-known Tangba Street and the upper Qinglian Street.
In addition, there are Fine Goods Night Markets of different themes every week.
