Chao Shou （“抄手”in Chinese），a Sichuan-style Wonton, is a typical savory snack with thin flour skins and tender minced pork.
The Chengdu Long Chao Shou Restaurant was open in the city in 1941. Relocated in the south section of Chunxi Road in the downtown in the 1960s, it offers a large variety of options including Chao Shou, Dan Dan Noddles (Sichuan noodles with peppery sauce，"担担面"), Meat Dumplings in Spicy Sauce ("红油抄手"), Cold noodles ("凉面"), Fuqi Feipian (Beef in Chili Sauce，"夫妻肺片"), Cold noodles with chicken shreds ("鸡丝凉面"), and white fungus soup ("银耳羹"), etc. The restaurant with stores in lots of cities across the country was titled a “China Time-honored Brand” by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (formerly the ministry of home trade) in 1995.
