The Guishi Village (Strange Stone Village) of Dayi County, some 70 km from downtown Chengdu, is gaining newfound popularity among hiking fans.
Online posts recommend the village as a quiet resort to escape the summer heat and an interesting place to see the ancient temple and waterfalls.
The Guaishi Temple in the village was built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
