Giant panda “Chengda” gave birth to a twin female babies in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding on June 11, 2019.
The birth weight of first baby is 171.9g and the second baby is just 42.8g, making her the lightest giant panda in terms of birth weight. The former lightest one is another giant panda called "Wuyi".
When the new baby was born at a very light weight, all the experts and keepers were so nervous and astonished for her abnormal weight, which is just 1/4 of the average and just as 2/3 long as her sister. Now the panda base has sent its best team to take care of the lightest baby 7/24, hoping to create another life miracle.
