Panda cub Yuan Meng made its first appearance in France on Jan.13.
Yuan Meng, the first panda cub born in France, made its first public appearance on Jan.13 at Beauval Zoo in Saint-Aignan, France.
Local visitors defied the cold weather and lined up to have a look at the cub. Yuan Meng was born at the zoo on Aug 4, 2017. Its parents, Yuan Zai and Huan Huan, came from Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and arrived in France in January 2012, to take part in a conservation and research program for a decade under a loan agreement reached between China and France.
