Sanofi Builds Global R&D, Operations Hub in Chengdu
Sanofi, a French multinational pharmaceutical giant, announced July 2 to establish a global R&D and operations hub in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone (CDHT). The hub will be the first R&D center for pharmaceutical innovation and regional headquarters invested and operated by a Fortune Global 500 company in the city.

Chengdu, Home to 285 Fortune Global 500 Companies
Latest data from the Chengdu Municipal Investment Promotion Commission show that 285 Fortune Global 500 companies, of which 198 are from overseas and 87 from home, have settled in Chengdu. The city has topped central and western China in terms of the number of such companies, which was 281 in 2017.
