The Fifteenth Western China International Fair opened on Oct 23 in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
The Fifteenth Western China International Fair opened on Oct 23 in Chengdu, Sichuan province. 76 investment promotion and trade cooperation activities will be held during the 12-day-long Fair. Nearly 9,000 enterprises from 76 countries and regions were registered to participate in various exhibitions. It is estimated that more than 60,000 merchants from all over the world will be there.
Vice-Premier Ma Kai will attend the Fair and give a speech at the Seventh Western China International Cooperation Forum, one of the major activities of the Fair, co-organized by the organizing committee and United Nations Development Program. President of the Czech Republic, important members of governments of foreign countries, and directors of world-top enterprises will also be present.
France, the main country of honor at the Fair, will send several government, trade and economic delegations to join the exhibitions and organize eight economic and cultural activities, including a Sino-French SME Cooperation and Development Forum, a French ballet performance, and Sino-French cuisine cultural exchanges.
In addition, many top global enterprises such as Intel, Dell, IBM and Microsoft will regard the Fair as a good opportunity to invest in Sichuan and Western China.
