Sichuan Issues First 10-year Visa for Professional Talent-GoChengdu

According to The Implementation Measures for Foreign Talents R Visa and Categories for Foreigners Working in China, which was jointly published by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Public Security of China and took effect on January 1, Sichuan Province is one of the first nine pilot provinces/municipalities to implement the regulation.

Recently, the province issued two Confirmation Letters for High-level Foreign Talents. And one of the bearers of the Letter obtained the R Visa from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the State of Israel on January 10, which is the second visa of this kind issued by the Chinese embassies and consulates in foreign countries, and the first such visa to Sichuan since the regulation took effect.

The Sichuan Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs issued the first Confirmation Letter for High Level Foreign Talents to professor Moris Topaz from Israel on January 9. Mr. Topaz got his visa at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the State of Israel the next day after having submitted an application. "The talent visa makes it much more convenient for foreigners to enter and leave China. A lot of innovations were made for the application procedures. It's really a good measure highly beneficial for foreign professionals," said Mr. Topaz.
